DALLAS, TX — March Madness is finally back in Dallas.

Yeah, SMU punched their ticket to the NCAA Tournament on Sunday, and it’s their first trip to the Big Dance since 1993.

Hey, that’s the same year ‘Animaniacs’ premiered... ask your parents about it kids.

For this team, it’s a huge payoff to finally make it to the tourney, especially after feeling snubbed last year.

“It was something we thought about from last year’s Selection Sunday,” SMU Guard Sterling Brown said. “Something we had on our wall in the locker room, something we’ve been thinking about all year.”

“For our seniors to have this happen, was unbelievable,” head coach Larry Brown added.

What's more, the American Athletic Conference Champs got a special visit from former President George W. Bush before Monday’s practice.

“Laura and I are thrilled to be associate with SMU,” Mr. Bush said. “They’re exciting, they play hard and they made the big time!"

Yep, and the big time starts on Thursday with a big tilt against Coach Brown’s old team: the UCLA Bruins.

So, show your Pony Pride, Dallas! Who needs to win their office bracket pool? Pick SMU all the way.
