ATLANTA – It’s a bittersweet 22nd birthday for Bobbi Kristina Brown who remains in a medically induced coma after being found floating face-down in her bathtub in January.
Nick Gordon, Bobbi Kristina’s longtime boyfriend, tweeted her a happy birthday message Wednesday.
A feud between Gordon and Bobbi Kristina’s family has played out for the world to see on social media, with Gordon accusing Bobby Brown of banning him from the hospital.
But a lawyer for Bobby Brown, Christopher Brown, said that is not the case.
“Let me very clear, Mr. Gordon was offered an opportunity to potentially visit Bobbi Kristina and he declined to meet the terms of any possible visit,” the statement said.
The question remains what exactly happened to Bobbi Kristina the day she was found in the bathtub. According to Bobby Brown’s lawyers, Gordon has never disclosed that information.
“Due to Mr. Gordon’s failure to place in tangible form his understanding of the events that lead to the hospitalization of Bobbi Kristina, there is no reason for any additional discussion with him,” Bobby Brown’s lawyers said in a statement. “Mr. Gordon has every right to remain silent and not share his version of the events with Bobby Brown. We are only concerned with individuals that can help Bobbi Kristina and bring resolution to this investigation.”
Police say they are treating Bobbi Kristina’s case as a criminal investigation.
Tragically, her mother Whitney Houston who died in 2012, was similarly found in a bathtub. A coroner ruled Houston’s death an accidental drowning, with heart disease and cocaine use listed as contributing factors.
As Bobbi Kristina remains on life support, new reports circulate that some of her father’s family members are planning a reality show. However, Bobby Brown’s attorney slams those reports.
“There is no Brown family reality show that is in production which chronicles Bobby Brown, Bobbi Kristina or the medical emergency she presently faces at Emory Hospital.”
