DALLAS -- In case you haven’t heard, sleet and ice build up has caused a lot of native Texans to get stuck in this slick weather.

“If you haven’t driven on this stuff before, do not drive," said G.L. Pratt.

Yeah, this weather can be treacherous -- even for veteran drivers. Over in Carrollton, an 18 wheeler apparently lost control on the George Bush Turnpike, another driver was killed in the crash. Over at DFW Airport, more than 1,000 flights were cancelled due to ice; that's half the flights going in and out.

“We got stranded here overnight. Luckily, we found a hotel; but now, we’re just trying to get back home," traveler Jeanne Otis said. “So now, I have to wait another day and fly tomorrow morning for Lafayette.”

But not all folks are hating on this bad weather.

“I just love it. I’m the only person out here right now.” NewsFix caught up with Michael Jackson.

“It's real, real easy to slide around out here. It's very, very easy so it's super fun just to be out right now," Jackson said.

Hey, that's one way to look at it. So, since you have to stick out this cold weather, maybe you should take the advice of this MJ and take it easy.

“Plus it's not so populated, so you don`t have to worry about people looking at you.”
