LOS ANGELES, CA - The ice storm shut down the American Sniper trial.
Closing arguments were scheduled Monday morning, but the jury will have to wait another day before they get to deliberate whether Eddie Ray Routh was insane when he shot and killed Chris Kyle and Chad Littlefield.
The delay is probably a good thing for Kyle's real life widow, Taya. She was on the Oscar red carpet Sunday night and scheduled to take a red eye flight back to Texas.
The last few months have been a trial for Taya, re-living the life and death of America's most lethal sniper.
She was at the premiere of the film with Bradley Cooper at her side and gave a teary testimony about the last hours of her husband's life. Sunday night she showed up with Kyle's dog tags in hand to support the team responsible for bringing his story to the big screen.
But Taya let everyone know it wasn't all glitz and glamour for her on Hollywood`s biggest day. She posted on Facebook, "I find myself in a surreal position… like Cinderella who scrubs the floors, but has a fairy godmother (Warner Bros.) who got me on a plane and had a dress and jewelry and even the shoes and spanx waiting for me."
Tuesday she'll be back in court in Stephenville, back to her new reality where friends and family,"literally give me the energy to get out of bed each day and see the beauty thru the ashes of my life."
