KILLEEN — A SWAT standoff in Killeen ended with four people dead late Sunday. Police say officers responded Sunday night to a domestic disturbance call that moved from outside to inside a home.

Investigators say the apparent gunman and his wife are both dead; two neighbors — a man and a woman — are dead as well. A third suspect, female, was also shot and taken to a hospital in serious condition.

“Any time somebody is shot, it’s not a good thing. The officers, we have to deal with this kind of thing a lot. You try to minimize anyone else getting hurt. You know, we try to get out there, get to the scene, and get things done safely. Unfortunately, we did not have a good outcome with this,” said Killeen Police Spokesperson Carroll Smith.
