FLOWER MOUND, TX -- They say a picture is worth a thousand words, but this pic might be worth a few more. The picture in question was taken last weekend at a high school basketball game between Flower Mound  and Plano East.

School officials quickly confiscated the signs, but not before the “White Power” picture was taken.

It quickly hit the Twitterverse and shared all over the web. Now folks are calling a foul on Flower Mound.

One user tweeted, “Seriously embarrassed for Flower Mound High School & all students who think it's necessary to take a basketball game to a racial level.”

Another tweeted, “This is ridiculous. I thought we passed the racial stage of society.”

Lewisville ISD, which operates Flower Mound High, told NewsFix it's “investigating what happened” and “intend to act on their findings.”

Who knows what really happened? Are these two guys in the picture together? What do those other signs say? Is there a chance this isn't what it looks like?

It wouldn't be the first time a picture was misinterpreted. For example, the pics where you have to do a double take to figure out what's going on.

Hey, no question, we’re looking at the words “white” and “power.” But is this a case of a mixed up message or a messed up sign?
