It may be winter, but the Truck Yard is still getting the crowds to stop in for a bite to eat or a cold brew. The Truck Yard knows the recipe for success.  The key to that success starts with one person: Chef Jason Boso. He's the owner of the Truck Yard, which can be found in the Lower Greenville area of Dallas. He's also the co-founder of the burger joint Twisted Root.

Boso says the idea behind Truck Yard was inspired by a visit to Gruene Hall, just outside of New Braunfels.

"It's just this outdoor, fun, eclectic, funky place. There are a couple of other places like that in the small towns around Texas and I just wanted to bring that to the center of Dallas."

In addition to Truck Yard and Twisted Root, Boso says he and his business partner, Quincy Hart, are developing a fried chicken restaurant called Quincy's Chicken Shack. He says it'll open in Coppell sometime later this year.

Stay tuned for that! If history is any indicator, it'll likely be a big hit when it opens.
