IRVING, TX -- Costumes, characters and comics: the Irving Convention Center has been invaded... by nerds.

“Typically over the course of two days we get about 20,000 people,” Dallas Comic Con programming Director Mark Walters said. “It’s amazing how comforting and welcoming this community is.”

For young and old, Dallas Comic Con is the ultimate place to geek out. “I’ve never grown out of that whole Halloween faze,” attendee Laura Derrick said. “I’m more comfortable in a costume than regular clothes any day.”

Among the Comic Con galaxy of stars, are some familiar CW faces.  Actors from the hit show Arrow turned up the hype a notch, as they met and mingled with the fans.

“It’s just great to see the reaction of the fans, it’s very humbling,” Dave Ramsey said. Ramsey plays John Diggle on Arrow.

Yes -- he’s just as cool in person as he is on the show and we we got some details on the rest of the season. “It’s all about Ra’s al Ghul and the league of assassins,” Ramsey said. “It’s gonna be crazy.”
