ARLINGTON, TX -- The Grammys may be this weekend, but two of the biggest music stars in the world are already rocking out in North Texas, celebrating the United Way of Metropolitan Dallas 90th anniversary. We're talking about Blake Shelton and Usher!
"It would have been enough to just have Blake, but then they brought me too," Usher said.
Yep, Blake Shelton and Usher are bringing the house down at AT&T Stadium Friday night to pay to tribute to United Way's legacy in Dallas, but at the press conference for the event it looked like these guys may still have some issues to resolve.
"When this came up and they told me the idea of me and my friend together because I haven't gotten to see him much since he stole my title on the Voice a couple of seasons ago," Shelton explains.
"Unfortunately I haven't been beat," Usher said smiling. "You know maybe we could settle the score on stage tonight. Maybe there`s someone to audition out there."
Whoa! I guess Troy Aikman will have to play ref at the concert, instead of co-host. Good thing he brought some friends.
"Celebrating the 90 years," Aikman explains.
"We got a lot of star power here. A lot of former Cowboys. Roger Staubach will be here, Darren Woodson, Emmitt Smith, and several others."
Usher and Shelton are hoping to continue to team up with United Way to keep area kids on track.
"The youth in my opinion is the investment that we have to make," Usher said.
"We have to make the investment into our tomorrow."
Yeah, the stars are really big and bright in the heart of texas tonight. Rock on guys!!
