NORTH TEXAS – Looking to take a bite out of the Big Apple? Well, you don’t have to go far. Insert East Hampton Sandwich Co.
The owner, Hunter Pond, dropped out of Law School to pursue his real passion.
"He said enough of that, let's make some money and sell some sandwiches," Jake Cswaykus said. Cswaykus is the General Manager of East Hampton Sandwich Company.
So what kind of East Coast twang is the East Hampton Sandwich Company serving up?
"The turkey bacon avocado which is kind of like a twist on the classic club sandwich,” Cswaykus said. "The fried chicken and jack which is our probably number two seller. Who doesn't love fried chicken? Southern fried chicken with bacon and cheese and ranch dressing."
"I had the turkey pesto sub with potato salad,” customer Valmier Hajro said. “I mean, it was delicious. He had the chicken-parm sub which was probably my favorite thing."
And chew on this, this joint sells fresh lobster rolls all year round!
"It comes in raw obviously, and then we're gonna mix it up with our aioli and a little bit of chives and then serve it,” Cswaykus said. "We want you to taste the fresh lobster on a nice buttery roll that we have special made with a side of butter."
And if you think you’re gonna have to drive across town to get one of these babies, fuhgeddaboutit! East Hampton Sandwich Company has locations in Dallas, Plano, Fort Worth – with another location coming to Uptown this spring.
