FORT WORTH, TX — The Fort Worth Jubilee Theater’s Artistic Director is accused of soliciting young boys for sex.

Declois Beacham, who goes by the name Tre Garrett in the theater world, was arrested Friday morning and is now out on bail.

Fort Worth police say he’s the man who offered to pay an 11-year-old boy $100 dollars to perform a sex act.

According to the police report, the boy initially said he went through with the proposition. But he later changed his story, saying he fought Beacham off and ran away with the cash.

Beacham is also accused of making the same offer to a 17-year-old boy who turned him down.

Both victims say the suspect was driving a silver BMW. Police eventually spotted the car in an apartment complex where the youngest boy was approached. The plates came back to Beacham.

He was arrested after the boys pointed him out in a lineup.

Beacham told police he frequents the area because he’s on the Young Men’s Leadership Academy Board.

According to Beacham’s personal website, he has an extensive background in theater. He was formerly a show director for Walt Disney and worked with big names like Tom Joyner and Debbie Allen.

Now he can add two counts of compelling prostitution of a child to his resume.
