Is Justin Bieber turning his life around?

The controversial pop star, who has been in the news for things like egging his neighbor’s home and urinating in a bucket, made a sincere apology last night.

“I really want people to know how much I care, how much I care about people. And how I’m not that person to say I don’t give a f**k. I’m not that kid. I’m a person who genuinely cares. And although what has happened in the past has happened, I just want to make the best impression on people. And be kind and loving,” Bieber said in a video he posted on Twitter.

Bieber appeared on “Ellen” earlier in the day for the talk show host’s birthday. In the video, Bieber said he was nervous about the interview.

“It’s been a minute since I’ve been on a public appearance and I didn’t want to come off arrogant or conceited. Basically how I’ve been acting the last year, year and a half. I’m not what I was pretending to be,” he said.

In the past year or so, the 20-year-old pop star has gotten into a host of trouble with the law, his neighbors, fans and even international police.

Earlier in the year, police arrested Bieber in Miami and charged him with driving under the influence, resisting arrest without violence and driving with an invalid driver’s license. Miami Police Chief Raymond Martinez said Bieber admitted to the officers that he had been drinking alcohol, using marijuana and had taken prescription drugs prior to his arrest.
