MEXICO CITY, MEXICO — Babies are being found alive in the rubble of a massive natural gas explosion at a maternity hospital in Mexico City.

At least two people have been killed — a mother and a child —  Mexico City’s mayor said, correcting earlier official statements with a higher death toll. Dozens are missing and more than 30 injuries have been reported.

Thursday morning’s blast happened when a hose from a truck supplying natural gas to the hospital burst, causing a leak, which exploded.

The driver and two assistants have been detained, the mayor’s office told CNN. Two of the detained workers are hospitalized and one is receiving other medical care.
