CLEBURNE, TX -- "What do you want to be when you grow up?" It's the question you couldn't wait to answer when you were a little kid.
A doctor? A teacher? An astronaut? Yeah, the options seemed endless.
Most of us had to wait until we grew up and graduated to start fulfilling our occupational dreams. But a couple of lucky kids didn't have to turn the tassel to see their dreams turn into reality.
That's because Caleb Adams and his twin brother Chase got the chance to get some on-the-job experience in Cleburne Thursday. Caleb spent the day as a cop and Chase got to be a fireman.
They may be a little wet behind the ears since they're just celebrating birthday #5 today, but if life experience is the key to a successful career, well, Caleb has plenty of it. He's already been through a lifetime of challenges. He's dealing with autism and epilepsy. He's even a brain surgery survivor.
But none of that kept Caleb from accomplishing one wish -- to be a Cleburne cop. So, Cleburne PD swore Caleb in and he had enough clout to get his brother hired on as a Cleburne firefighter.
So, if you see Caleb and Chase, welcome them to the workforce with a salute!
