PLANO, TX -- For months, folks living in one Plano community have lived in fear.

A rash of break-ins has left the community on edge, and families taking extra precautions.

On Saturday, there was a possible break in the case. Plano cops arrested Cedric Smith, Jr.

He was busted for driving a stolen car, but cops believe he’s one of the perps behind the slew of home burglaries.

Plano PD says since October, over a dozen homes have been targeted by crooks.  They believe the 18-year old is tied to at least four of those cases.

Cops say Smith would reportly hit homes late at night, shoot out a window with a pellet gun, and rip-off residents while they were asleep.

While this bad guy is now behind bars, cops say they’re still looking for another perp.

So, if you live in that neighborhood – stay alert and keep close watch.
