NORTH TEXAS—Welp, we can say “bye –bye” to warm weather, because temps are dropping.

Yep, it’s going to get cold. North Texas is expecting winter weather - we’re talking snow, people - by the end of the week. And we’ve seen some crazy winters so it’s better to be safe than sorry.

That’s why the Texas Division of Emergency Management sent out the 411 on how to stay safe when weather conditions aren’t .

Step one: Prepare a winter weather kit. So what the heck do we need to stay alive if the big blizzard his Big D?

Well, according to emergency experts, we’re talking about food and water, plus a few things you might not have handy like kitty litter or sand for sidewalks, a windshield scraper, and of course warm clothes and extra blankets.

That makes sense. Here’s hoping we won’t need to use any of this stuff anytime soon.
