FT. WORTH, TX - It`s the event that defines Cowtown! The annual Ft. Worth Stock Show and Rodeo is now officially underway.

The day kicked off with the All Western Parade. Cowboy hats, sombreros, lassoers, beauty queens and lots and lots of horses.

And where there`s horses, there`s plenty of… well… horse enthusiasts!

Mother Nature helped out with amazing weather for the young buckaroos in attendance who broke in their Stock Show saddle on Saturday.

While for others this was hardly their 'first rodeo'!

In attendance were some alumni from Polytechnic High

“Those of us right here we were actually in the Poly band in 1959.” said one member, “We remember actually marching and not missing any steps because our band director said no matter what`s on the pavement, what might`ve come out of horses, you cannot go around it you have to march and we did marched right through it!”

Well that`s what boots are made for!

This slice of the Old West is open until February 7th, so grab your hat, strap on your spurs, and get yerself down to Ft. Worth, pardner!
