RICHARDSON, Texas—Some North Texans were eager to see Team America as a substitute for The Interview at the Alamo Draft House in Richardson.  That movie aims at Kim Jong Un’s father, Kim Jong Il.

“I think it’s a very clever substitution,” movie goer Lisa Breda said.

But hold it right there! Thursday afternoon, the theater released a post on their Facebook page, saying that Team America is now cancelled. Plus, the movie showing on their website disappeared.

“I wasn't planning on seeing The Interview, and if I wanted to see Team America, I’d pull out the DVD at home,” Breda added.

Perhaps Paramount didn't want to peeve the North Korean leader either.

You can’t watch The Interview, you can’t watch Team America, but at least we always have those annual A Christmas Story marathons!
