DALLAS, TX -- It was the perfect day for a parade in Big D.

Hey, it wouldn't be the holiday season without the annual  Children`s Health Holiday Parade. On Saturday morning, scores of spectators lined the streets of downtown to catch a glimpse of the festive floats.

'We come every year, this is about our 25th year and we have a grand-baby now so it`s going to be a tradition,” Rogacheal Barrow said.

Ashlyn Torres said the seasonal parade, “makes everything so much better, it starts the Christmas spirit, it’s just a big family get together.”

Tinsel tidings of joy weren`t the only thing on the agenda. Young patients also came to thank Children`s Medical Center for making them feel all better--just in time for the holidays!

After spending six months at the hospital, Malakai and his mom Anne Savage gives all their praises to Children’s.

“It’s an amazing facility” explained Anne. “They`ve saved his life, there`s no better place.”

Madison Massey, a sickle- cell patient at Children’s, enjoys the annual parades but also her check-ups too!

“They treat you really fair and they`re really nice,” said Madison.  “When you`re sad they cheer you up.”

So, whether it`s spreading holiday cheer or cheering on the marching bands; it sounds like Children`s just gave everyone an early Christmas present!
