VALLEY RANCH - The Cowboys better hope that Bye Week got them enough rest, because the NFL didn’t do them any favors with their end of the year schedule.

Dallas has a grueling stretch coming up, with three games in 12 days.

First, it’s up to New York for a Sunday night game against the Giants, then back home and a quick turnaround for the Turkey Day tilt with the Eagles.

A week later it’s up to Chicago where the Boys can expect freezing temps and snow when they play the Bears.

The team actually faced this same three-games-in-12-days challenge back in 2007 and won all three.

But all of those games were played in the friendly confines of Texas Stadium.

So how does the team prep when their normal schedule gets turned on its head?

“You don`t want to think too much about some kind of a stretch that you have over the course of the season.” said head coach Jason Garrett, “You want to focus on the task at hand.”

“It`s not even on the radar right now for us.” said Scott Linehan, the team’s passing coordinator “We've got a lot of work to do to get ready for Sunday night.”

“Our team`s done a good job of handling those situations and you have to adjust” said Jason Witten, who was on the 2007 squad, “But I think this six month stretch from July to Christmas, it`s a little bit of a whirlwind.”

Well, at this end of this whirlwind the Cowboys could be 10-3 and a win away from clinching the East, or 7-6 and wondering where it all went wrong.

Either way, Cowboy fans won’t have any fingernails left to chew.
