HURST, TX --The feds are taking over part of that crazy child porn investigation in Hurst--the one where cops say a 17-year-old enrolled in school as a sixth grader.

The feds are involved because of Randy Wesson. In search warrant and arrest warrant affidavits, cops say Wesson claims to have 42,000 child porn pics.

It gets a lot worse.

Wesson also said he sexually assaulted more than 100 kids.

"Everyone (in the pictures) will be a victim," Sgt. Craig Teague said. "The problem is to identify who they are."

The whole investigation got started because Hurst cops got a tip about a message on Instagram by someone using the name "little boy 8."
They connected it to Randy Wesson. He told cops Instragram's also where he met Ricardo Lugo,.the 17-year-old who now accused of pretending to be 12, so he could go to Hurst Hills Elemenary School, where he went by the name "Matthew Drew Wesson."

"It's shocking," parent Mary Hohrine said. "It's very shocking, to know that there was a person pretending to be a sixth grader when they were really 17."

Here's where it gets *really* scary for parents. Cops looked on lugo's phone and found pictures of kids taken at a school, a video of one child AND messages indicating Lugo was trying to find victims for himself and Wesson.

"I'm very worried," parent Jerry Johnson said. " I'm worried for my kids' safety. I'm worried for all the kids' safety over here."

Obviously, if your kids have been around either one of these guys, Hurst cops wanna hear from you.
The school district sent out a statement Friday, and a letter to parents, saying they're cooperating with the cops.
And we're sure parents want to hear how a school can learn to keep predators out of the classroom.
