WYLIE — A Wylie family got a little news that could ease their minds a bit. Almaz Gebremedhin, the mother and wife who was missing for weeks, died of accidental drowning.

That’s the word from the Collin County Medical Examiner on Monday.  It won’t lessen the  pain of losing Almaz Gebremedhin, but at least her friends and family know she wasn’t the victim of a crime.

She was reported missing on October 1.  Her family’s private investigator found her body in her car in a pond.
