VALLEY RANCH, Texas -- Dez Bryant just might be the most talented player on the Cowboys roster.

There’s no question he’s played a huge part in this team’s 7-3 start. But is there a chance next season he won’t be wearing the star?

Dez’s contract is up at the end of the season, and the Cowboys have yet to lock up the receiver.

Might be because Bryant wants to be one of the top-paid wide receivers in the NFL, and Jerry Jones & Co. are hoping for more of a bargain.

So will that lead Dez to look for “greener” pastures?

Wednesday he assured everyone that Dallas is where he wants to be.

“I love it. I really do,” Bryant said when asked when asked about The Big D.

Well, Dez may love the town and have loyalty to the team, but he also warned the team not to test that loyalty during these negotiations.

He’s even upped his agent game, recently signing with Jay-Z’s Roc Nation Sports. The rap mogul is even throwing his newest client a Welcome Party at his 40/40 Club in NYC on Saturday.

Coach Garrett only cares that Dez is focused come Sunday.

“I think there`s probably a lot of distraction around our game for everybody,” Coach Garrett said. “I think the best teams and the best players are able to focus on the task at hand and Dez is certainly capable of doing that.”

Well, Dez and the team just need to be focused on the next six games… then the playoffs… and then Dez gets his “pay-off”.
