PLANO, TX --His fans call him Woz.

woz WalkIn the tech world he's a rock star. His work toward starting Apple is that of movies and legends. So, when Capital One decided to bring Steve Wozniak to the opening of their Innovation Center in Plano, there was plenty of excitement.

After all, in a garage in the  1970's, the world of computers would be changed for ever by Steve Wozniak and Steve Jobs.  So, it's only fitting that Capital One's Innovation center is nicknamed the "Garage"

Sanjiv Yijnik with Capital One explains it's purpose. "One of the things we want to do at Capital one is to ignite the power of imagination to really improve the lives of our customers."

The design of the Garage, feels like something you'd find in Silicon Valley, Wozniak mentioned.

One of the ways they help ignite creativity is making everything a flexible and movable workspace; from walls that can be written on, to computers that can be adjusted, to break out rooms, and even quiet rooms -- all with the purpose of fostering and inspiring creativity and collaboration.

In an effort to connect to a younger generation of tech minds, they hosted a app creation (Hackathon) contest, to be judged by Wozniak and guest judges. There ended up being two top winners who won $5,000 and iPADs.

At the end of the day, the purpose of the innovation center is to create what they call disruptive technology. Or in other words "game changers" that will change how people use technology when it comes to finances.
