DALLAS- Brace yourselves, basketball is back! NewsFix met up with the Dallas Mavs as they warmed up for the up-coming start of training camp.

So what’s new this season??

“There’s at least seven new guys on the roster possibly eight or nine depending on how it goes in camp and who wins jobs and so on and so forth. There’s a lot to be determined and that’s exciting,” said Mavericks Head Coach, Rick Carlisle.

Some of those new players include a double scoop of Chandler. We’re talking Chandler Parsons and Tyson Chandler.

The Mavs are counting on newcomer Chandler Parsons to liven things up.

“I think I’m gonna have a big year, I think my team is gonna have a bigger year,” said Chandler Parsons.

And with Tyson Chandler back on board, hopes are high that Big D could score another championship.

“Everybody thinks I was here four or five or six years but it was just one really long incredible year,” said Tyson Chandler.

Hey, the start of a new season means a clean slate and perhaps erasing the painful memory of last year’s one and done in the first round play-offs against the San Antonio Spurs.

So bust out at that MFFL spirit, the Mavs season tips off on October 28th against a familiar rivalry, the San Antonio Spurs in the Alamo city.
