hudson heartUPDATE (GREENSBORO, NC) —  A newborn baby boy is recovering from a nearly nine-hour heart transplant, just two weeks after Facebook denied his father’s ad to raise money for the surgery.

Facebook rejected two-month-old Hudson Bond’s pic, flagging it as “scary, gory or sensational.”

Hudson’s parents went straight to the media, pleading for help for their son who was diagnosed with a condition called cardiomyopathy —  which meant he needed a new heart.

Hudson got his new heart Monday.

His parents posted pictures  after the surgery to Hudson’s Heart Facebook page. It’s the same page that first brought the baby boy into our hearts and hearts across the nation.
