adrian peterson mugshot(NEWSFIX DFW) — Despite battling child abuse charges, being banned from Minnesota Vikings team activities and losing a major deal with Nike, NFL star Adrian Peterson will still get a pretty fat pay check every week.

Nearly $700,000 not to play.

Unlike former Baltimore Raven Ray Rice, Peterson has not been suspended by Commissioner Roger Goodell. So he will continue to get paid.

Peterson’s salary this year is $11.75 million, which comes to $691,176.50 a week during the 17-week NFL season. He signed a six-year, $86.3 million contract before the 2011 season.

Adrian Peterson is battling charges here in his home state of Texas. Investigators near Houston say he injured his four-year-old son when he spanked him with a tree branch.
