NEW YORK CITY — We will never forget. On the 13th anniversary of the 9/11 terror attacks, events around the nation remembered the 2,977 people who died that day.

The victims were remembered at Ground Zero, the Pentagon, and the field in Shanksville, Pennsylvania where those aboard Flight 93 perished.

“Thirteen years after small and hateful minds conspired to break us, America stands tall and America stands proud,” President Obama said.

It may have been 13 years ago, but people still remember where they were when it happened.

The attacks made us think about safety more.

“I think about it every time I stand in line to get on a plane.”

“I’m definitely more aware of when I`m vulnerable – especially with my children.”

“Life goes on and I just continue to enjoy life.”

And perhaps, that may be the best way to honor those who died in the 9/11 attacks.
