DFW Remembers: Metroplex Memorializes 9/11 Victims

GRAPEVINE, TXOn the anniversary of our nation’s darkest hour, it appeared even Mother Nature mourned among the somber, who gathered to remember and reflect.

“These co-workers, friends and family gave their lives in the service of others,” Shirley Hall, Vice-President of the 9/11 Flight Crew Memorial said.

In Grapevine, an emotional tribute to our nation’s fallen was held early Thursday morning. The 9/11 Memorial Foundation Texas partnered with the Grapevine Fire Department, to honor and memorialize the heroes of the horrific day.

Among the crowd, family members of the courageous American Airlines crew celebrated for their valor in the midst of unimaginable danger.

“The statues that stand before us, serve as a reminder to those left behind, who carry on their legacy daily,” Hall said.

13-years have passed, yet the wounds remain ever present in the hearts and minds of those who will never forget.
