Pizza for Rice: Baltimore Shop Offers Free Pizza for Ray Rice Jersey

Baltimore Ravens v New York JetsBALTIMORE, Md. — Hey, don’t burn those Ray Rice jerseys just yet! You could head to Baltimore where a pizza parlor is giving away free pizza to anyone who hands over the former bird’s jersey.

It’s the latest fallout from video TMZ posted of Rice sucker punching and knocking out his then fiancée in an Atlantic City casino elevator.

The Baltimore Ravens quickly fired the running back after the video surfaced. He’s also been suspended indefinitely from the NFL and even banned from playing football with the Canadian league.

Now, Hersh’s Pizza in B-More is making Rice’s day from hell even worse. It posted a Facebook ad that reads:

Hersh’s later announced it would donate $2.70, after Rice’s #27, to the House of Ruth for every jersey it received. The House of Ruth assists families victimized by domestic violence.

Both Ray and Janay Rice are now speaking out for the first time. Mrs. Rice blamed the media for her “nightmare”.

“To make us relive a moment in our lives that we regret everyday is a horrible thing. To take something away from the man I love Ray Rice Press Conferencethat he has worked his a** off for all his live just to gain ratings is horrific,” Mrs. Rice posted on her Instagram account. “If your intentions were to hurt us, embarrass us, make us feel alone, take all happiness away, you’ve succeed on so many levels.”

Ray Rice sent a text to CNN that reads, “I’m just holding strong for my wife and kid.”
