DALLAS – Out with the old and in with a spiffy new look for Southwest Airlines.

Monday, the airline strutted out the fresh new style they’ve given their birds. We’re talking brighter, bolder colors and a new logo – the works.

"Anytime you re-do your logos and your identity -- your visual identity as a company – it’s a very involved, very thoughtful process. And this one started about a year ago,” Kevin Krone, Chief Marketing Officer of Southwest Airlines, said.

"The big thing is kind of putting a fresh look, a fresh coat of paint on the airline to represent all of the new things that we are doing,” said Bob Jordan, Executive Vice-President and Chief Commercial Officer of Southwest Airlines

The biggest new things? All those non-stops flight set to take off October 13. Now, that’s the ticket we’ve all been waiting for.

"The Wright Amendment falls in about 5-6 weeks and we cannot wait,” Jordan said.

Wright or wrong, love is in the air.

"There's a five foot heart on the belly of that aircraft,” Jordan said.

Guess it’s safe to say, this new design was a labor of love too.
