We felt the speed today as the roar of engines filled the air at the Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth.

The Red Bull Air Race is in town and that can only mean one thing, stunt planes flipping and twirling in the Texas sky!

Pilots will take to the air and maneuver through this obstacle course. First one to the finish line, wins!

We met up with Kirby Chambliss, one of the pilots competing in the race back in June.

"It'll give you a real neat perspective in the Texas Motor Speedway because you'll actually be looking down on the airplanes racing," said Chambliss

This is the sixth stop on the international tour and the first time the Red Bull Air Race ever lands in Texas.

Chambliss, a native Texan is already planning his victory lap.

"I'd love to win every race of course, but my home state I’d love to win it! I'm planning on it," he said.

Flipping upside down not your thing? We'll leave it to the professionals. You can join in from the stands, take off starts this weekend!
