Dallas Zoo Breaks Record With Dollar Day Do-Over

DALLAS — So who says sequels, can’t be better than the original? Dollar Day, Part II at the Dallas Zoo had a record breaking 35,022 folks show up to see their favorite animals, breaking their 2008 Record of 34,929.  Back in July, rain kept many folks home during one of the most popular summer deals in Dallas.  With only 12,000 people braving the rain that day, this sequel has really paid off.

Large crowds and heat didn’t keep families and kids from having a fun time. One family we met while filming was celebrating a birthday, while another drove in from Hillsboro to enjoy the event.

The Morales Family didn’t even know about the event but saw long lines of cars and ventured to check it out. They ended up coming and were excited to check out the animals, especially the elephants.
