NEW YORK, NY – New York wants you to cool it when it comes to the latest fad found on dating websites like Tinder and OKCupid called “tiger selfies.”

Internet Romeos think the daring pics help land them a date, but according to the state, the photos are both dangerous to dudes and to the endangered cats.

So much so, that New York Governor Andrew Cuomo signed a law prohibiting contact between the public and wild cats at animal shows and fair. Why? Because there are plenty of instances of people being injured by big cats.

Penalties can range from five hundred bucks for first time offenders to a grand for repeaters.
