orlando scandrickAnd for the latest blow to the 2014- 2015 Dallas Cowboy season (that hasn’t even started yet)…one of the team’s starting players is out.

Well, at least for the first four games.

Orlando Scandrick has been suspended without pay after testing positive for ‘performance enhancing drugs’ that violated the NFL’s drug policy.

According to ESPN, Scandrick tested positive for MDMA aka Ecstasy or Molly.

Apparently this guy “accidentally” popped a molly in Mexico. Riiiight…

In an apology statement the corner-back said: “Failing a drug test is far out of my character, and although I never knowingly took a performance-enhancing drug/banned stimulant while on vacation in Mexico, I take full responsibility for what goes in my body and more importantly for the embarrassment of a failed drug test.”

An embarrassment to the Cowboy fans who will have to explain why their team just might suck for the first quarter of the season.

The Cowboys defense has already taken a few hits.

You can X out star linebacker Sean Lee after that torn knee ligament and two more X’s for defensive linemen Demarcus Ware and Jason Hatcher. They’ve moved on.

Geesh! Looks like it could take a miracle and a couple of rookies to step it up if they want to see something happen on the defensive side of the ball.

Oh… Scandrick do us a favor next time you go to Mexico. Don’t drink the water or do any drugs. Okay?
