August 11: Duet Debut & Concert Dancing Finally Allowed

On this day in 1997,  these duet partners and buddies sang together at a concert in Washington. In 2005, they would marry —  and just about 10 years after that, we sit here waiting to find out if and when we’ll be added to their world tour lineup.  And if you ever start hatin’ on the USA, remember this day in 1989 when the two-day Moscow Music Peace Festival got underway; it was the first time people in the audience were allowed to stand up and dance at a concert in the Soviet Union — and this band gave them plenty of reason.
