If you’re hitched and want to stay that way, it may be time to ditch Facebook forever.  Two new studies claim saying ‘I Do’ to social media could land you in the Big D.

Not Dallas, folks– Divorce Court.

University of Texas and Boston University researchers found heavy social media users are twice as likely to call it quits. In Texas alone, the UT study discovered divorce rates spiked two-percent from 2008 to 2010.

Neither poll suggested exact reasons for the heartbreaking link, but tweeting love messages to your ex-lover could be a problem.

Bottomline, researchers say forgetting Facebook and terminating Twitter give new meaning to the phrase– Happy Wife, Happy Life.
