DALLAS – Let’s not beat around the bush; domestic violence is a big deal. That’s why the Dallas Police Department is cracking down on offenders.
Last week, they launched a domestic violence warrant round-up, releasing the mugs of criminals with outstanding warrants.
Tuesday, police announced just how many perpetrators they captured in the latest crackdown.
“We were able to find 46 of the offenders,” Lieutenant Miguel Sarmiento. Sarmiento is the commander of the Domestic Violence Unit for the Dallas Police Department.
Ray Herron, one of the men mistakenly released with a couple dozen other inmates, is now back behind bars.
Is 46 arrests enough? Not quite. They started with 428 warrants to serve.
382 to go.
