DALLAS-Flying out of Love Field? Pack some extra cash.

The Dallas City Council passed a plan to to raise parking rates at Love.

Starting July 1, you’ll pay up to $16 a day if you’re in the short term lot. ┬áThat’s $2 more than you’re paying now. Long-term and valet parking are taking off, too.

That’ll bring in millions every year.

But hey, at least you can avoid some congestion when you’re on the road.

TxDot wants to let you use the HOV lanes on Highway 75, even if you’re the *only* person in the car.

Great news, right?

Well, the plan would turn those carpool lanes into toll lanes all the way from the High 5 to Allen.

So, it looks like your car’s gonna cost you more, whether it’s in drive or in park.
