We’re hitting the kitchen to whip up a dessert that’s just heavenly! These angelic grilled peaches are easy to make and sure to put a smile on anyone’s face!
Angelic Grilled Peaches
1 pound diced strawberries
1/4 C granulated sugar
1/2 teaspoon orange zest
1/4 C orange juice
3 tablespoon thinly sliced mint leaves
2 tablespoons agave nectar
2 tablespoons water
8 ripe peaches, halved and pitted
1 angel food cake, sliced into 1″ pieces
2 C whipped cream
Heat grill to medium high heat. In a bowl, combine strawberries, sugar, orange zest and juice, and mint; set aside. In a separate bowl, whisk agave nectar and water. Add the peaches to the agave mixture and toss well. Then grill the peaches with the cut side down for 2-3 minutes until grill marks appear. Then flip and grill for another 2-3 minutes. While the peaches are grilling, grill the angel food cake for 1 minute on each side or until grill marks appear. To plate, place a piece of cake on a serving platter then top with grilled peach, strawberry mixture and whipped cream.
