Take a bow, Music Hall at Fair Park!

“Over 23-million people have seen musicals in its history, ” President of Dallas Summer Musicals, Michael Jenkins said.

This fair lady has been center stage for the past 75-years in Big D. In that time, the venue has played host to some of Broadway’s most memorable musicals to include: The Lion King, Les Miserables and Wicked.

Now, Music Hall is producing a collaborative work with Performing Arts of Fort Worth.

“We complement each other and the market is so large in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, that we can help each other with more efficiencies in marketing, programming and working together,” Jenkins explained of the partnership.

That’s right – the fair folks are teaming up with Fort Worth’s Bass Hall.

“We actually have four shows we’re doing this season, three of them are back-to-back: Cinderella, Pippin and Dirty Dancing,” Dione Kennedy said.

“We’re both also doing Kinky Boots.”

A marquee move they hope will upstage the competition, and secure their shot at continued success.

“We recognize we can both do these shows and both be very successful and enhance our abilities to present these shows,” Kennedy added.

Well played Music Hall, and as they say…on with the show!
