EyeOpener is seeking an experienced producer to serve as a newsroom leader! The primary purpose of the News Producer is to produce, write and gather information and graphics for EyeOpener.

Position Summary:

EyeOpener is seeking an experienced producer to serve as a newsroom leader! The primary purpose of the News Producer is to produce, write and gather information and graphics for EyeOpener.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • 25% – Writes & produces content for daily newscasts. Write and post new or re-purposed content to company websites and assist in maintaining social media pages.
  • 25%- Submits story ideas daily and work aggressively to increase traffic on web and mobile platforms.
  • 25% – Contributes recommendations on daily story coverage and special assignments.
  • 25% – Serves as a leader within the news room, offering advice & assistance to other employees.
  • Fills in on other newscasts as needed.


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism or related field is desired.
  • 2+ years minimum producing experience.
  • Top notch showcasing skills and superb writing and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under extreme pressure and deadlines.
  • Must keep up on local, state, national and international events.
  • Must work individually as well as part of a team.
  • This position requires someone who can exercise discretion, best judgment, and has solid journalistic/ethical skills.
  • Must be extremely flexible to work different shifts throughout the year.

 Multi-Media Journalist – Full Time


KDAF-TV is looking for a unique storyteller who will fit in perfectly with an exciting news product in Dallas. If you can shoot, write, and edit every day and can create cutting edge content, keep reading.


Candidate must have Final Cut Pro experience and be able to shoot daily assignments on a Sony EX3 and DSLR cameras. The position may require nights & weekends as needed.

Experience with 3G/4G wireless bonding technology a plus.

Your work will be seen daily on NewsFix, a unique, anchorless news format in Dallas that presents news with an opinion and POV you won’t see on traditional newscasts. The production value is high, so we place high priority on finding the right Multi-Media Journalist.


We value solid newsroom & digital technology experience, but sell us on your passion to re-invent the news with clever copy, an exceptional photojournalistic eye, and the ability to tell a story like no one else.

You must be in sync with the pulse of the streets and come up with your own story ideas.

CW33 Street Team Rep – Part Time


Are you a passionate, hardcore fan of The CW and CW33? If so, the CW33 Street Team might just be the most fun job you’ll ever have.

KDAF-TV, Dallas/Fort Worth’s CW, seeks outgoing, energetic, self-motivated individuals with excellent communication and people skills to join the station’s promotional Street Team. As part time employees of KDAF-TV, Street Team members will be marketing representatives for CW33 at community events, setting up the station’s event booth, interacting with attendees, supervising and executing station games, contests, and giveaways, shooting photos/videos and doing other promotional tasks. The CW33 Street Team duties also include promoting CW33 and its shows online, utilizing the station’s various digital and social platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and others). Street Team digital duties will include email blasts, online posts, chats, blogging about the station’s programs, assisting in event coordination, and prizing fulfillment.


Applicants must be 18 years or older and legal residents of Texas with a valid driver’s license. Applicants must have their own reliable transportation to travel to and from events. Applicants must be in good physical condition and be able to lift up to 40 lbs. Applicants must be computer/technology savvy with a working knowledge of digital technology (including, but not limited to, social media and creating/posting content online). Applicants must have a very strong knowledge about programming that airs on CW33, such as The CW Prime shows, news programming, and syndicated shows.


If applicants are selected for a personal interview at the studios of CW33, KDAF-TV, an employment application, consumer disclosure form, and liablity/publicity release from must be completed at that time for further consideration of employment. Background searches will be done on all Street Team finalists.

Job candidates hired as members of the CW33 Street Team will be part time employees of the Station. As such, they will be paid on an hourly basis for the scheduled work assigned to them. But as part time employees and members of the CW33 Street Team, CW33 has rights to use their name, recorded likeness/voice or biographical material on-air or online to promote, advertise, or publicize Station without additional financial compensation beyond the stated hourly salary. Continued employment as Street Team members will be subject to the terms and guidelines described in the station Policy and Procedure Manual.

CW33 KDAF-TV will not negotiate with talent or model agencies when hiring Street Team members. If you have a contract with an agency, you must notify the agency that Street Team employment will not be subject to the terms of your agency agreement.
