    A GoFundMe page has been created to raise $10,000 for the NHL Anaheim Ducks’ captain, Ryan Getzlaf, after he was fined for saying a homophobic slur. During Game 4 of the NHL Western Conference Finals on Friday, Getzlaf called a referee a “cocksucker” leading him to be fined the maximum amount of $10,000 for his comment.     GRANBURY – Prom will soon feel a bit different for students in Granbury High School. The district says starting next year, all students will be required to take a breathalyzer at prom. The goal is to cut down on underage drinking. Prosper ISD announced a similar policy last month. Granbury has used breathalyzers in the past, but it’s always been optional.     A Keller teacher just made an epic comeback on jeopardy! David Clemmons, a Keller High School history teacher, is part of the teacher’s tournament on the game show. The Keller High School community gathered together for a watch party to witness Clemmons’ winning revival. He was in last place and in the red, when he managed to come back and win the game!   • Dealer gets 20 years in federal prison in Dallas County meth conspiracy

    DALLAS – A member of a methamphetamine conspiracy operating out of Balch Springs, Pleasant Grove and Seagoville has been sentenced to 20 years in federal prison last week. Guadalupe “Sleepy” Segovia, 44, was part of a 19 member group that conspired 6,700 grams of methamphetamine when seized by federal agents.     The Texas Senate Criminal Justice Committee approved their version of the Sandra Bland Act on Tuesday. The act aims to comprehensively change the way police and civilians interact. Senate’s version of the bill would mandate county jails to route people with substance abuse and mental health issues to treatment as well as install electronic cameras or sensors to monitor inmates better.
