Dallas Firefighters evacuated after gas leak detected outside their station

DALLAS — The Dallas Fire Rescue firefighters at Station 43 are being told to leave their station on Lombardy Lane because of a gas leak.

This is less than two miles from the deadly house explosion on Espanola Drive.

Atmos Energy issued a mandatory evacuation on the building and there is no word on when the firefighters can return. For now, they’ve been temporarily transferred to nearby fire stations.
