The Texas House is pushing for a statewide ban on texting and driving again.

The latest proposal won preliminary approval in the house on Wednesday.

The bill will prohibit the use reading, writing, or sending messages on a hand-held device.

This is the fourth time the bill is being carried and now it's heading to the Senate.

Texas is one of four states that does not have a texting while driving ban.
