As we drive forward into the holiday season, with just over a week until Christmas, we have to take a moment to reflect…on what we will do this weekend.

No matter what your plans are, one thing you definitely want to be doing is having some fun. Here are five things that are our weekend definition of adventure.

Friday & Saturday: Holiday in the D

Dallas’ BIG D Holiday, our annual partnership with arts institutions and area attractions, will be coming to an end. This weekend offers your last chance to experience the holiday activities and specials a part of the BIG D holiday. It’s also a chance to visit some of the museums and amusements our city offers year round. With more than two dozen events and savings, why not get out with the family and find your holiday zen?

When: Noon – 4 pm Friday & Saturday, Dec. 16-17.

Friday & Saturday: Wander, Wander

It’s also the last weekend of Downtown Wanderland! With a series of events and sales on their calendar, and a showing of the Polar Express in Pegasus Square, this last chance to enjoy the holiday with Dallas is also an opportunity to get in the spirit of Christmas.

Friday & Saturday: Nude Ballet

Broads and Panties Burlesque company is in its 6th year of its annual Nearly Naked Nutcracker. Ballet joins with burlesque to create this “tale of stripping snow queens, pole dancing soldiers, high flying rat kings.” Featuring The Snappers and Leggy Lass Greenleaf from Los Angeles, the 2015 King of Burlesque San Antonio JD Hickock, and Emma D’Lemma, from Houston, this show is guaranteed to be an experience.

Saturday: Elves in the Sky

Santa and his elves are visiting the Reunion Tower! Bring the kiddos out to have photos with Santa, a balloon artist, and tasty goodies to nibble on from the Cloud Cafe. There’s only one more time to catch Santa before Christmas, and it’s Christmas Eve — so make sure to stop by!
