DALLAS -- For seven years, Gateway of Grace has opened their doors for hundreds of refugees to enjoy a hot meal during the holidays. With grace, executive director, Dr. Samira Page is using her experience to make sure others aren't left down and out.

"My family and I came [to Dallas] about 18 years ago," Page explained.  "Holidays were extremely difficult for us because we had nowhere to go."

Page has helped Syrian refugees. For two years, sisters Rawan & Ghufran have called Dallas their home. But for the first time, they're getting a taste of an American tradition.

"People here are from different cultures and societies when they get together they create an amazing society," the sisters added.

That's what our country is all about blending together. Something we should all be grateful for.
