LOS ANGELES — Anna Faris is in some hot water after a dog she adopted was found roaming the streets.

Kinder4Rescue founder Laurel Kinder told TMZ that they received a call about a Chihuahua named Pete who had been brought into a local clinic.

After running the dog’s microchip, the veterinarian discovered Pete belonged to Faris.

The actress could face a $5,000 fine for breaching her adoption contract. She signed an agreement that she would pay a fee if she ever re-homed Pete.

The dog was found roaming the streets and in bad shape when Faris and her husband, Chris Pratt were out of town.
