ARLINGTON, TX — This could be the start of something big! Yeah, when the Cowboys take on the Eagles Sunday night it will be the first ever meeting between rookie phenoms, Dak Prescott and Carson Wentz. It’s a QB matchup that some are already comparing to the next Manning vs. Brady!
OK, so those guys have 10 Super Bowl appearances and 7 MVP awards combined between them, so we might be getting ahead of ourselves. But Dak and Carson have already shown that they’re ready to go, both leading their teams to winning starts to this season.
And there are some similarities between them and Peyton and Tom. Wentz and Manning were taken at the very top of the draft, while Prescott and Brady had to wait until much later to get picked.
Wentz and Manning were both named the starter day one, while Dak and Brady both got their number called when their team’s longtime veteran went out with an injury.
And hey, it’s not like the Cowboys-Eagles rivalry needs much help being heated, so we’re gonna go ahead and call this one Dak-Wentz Bowl I! Hopefully with many more to come.
