Tribe Fans Say “Thanks” To Pitcher By Buying Items off Wedding Registry

CLEVELAND, OH -- Pitcher Ryan Merritt from the Cleveland Indians is having the best week ever.

First, he shut down Jose Bautista after Bautista told reporters Merritt would be "shaking in his boots" because of the intimidating Blue Jays lineup.

Instead, the native North Texan brought out the boots during the ALCS Championship celebration. His fellow pitchers, Trevor Bauer and Corey Kluber, also got in on the action with some witty tweets of their own.  Bauer took a jab at "JoeyBats" saying "Happy Birthday! Headed to the World Series!! #LetsGoTribe!"

The win kept bringing more "wins" for the future Mr. and Mrs. Merritt.

To say "thanks" for getting the Indians to the World Series, fans bought Merritt and his fiancee items off of their wedding registry.  The items range from a Swiffer to clean the floor in case his boots scuff the floor and a pillow to rest his head after an Indians win.

There are only a few items left on the registry. Who knows!? If the Indians' success continues, we're guessing someone will get them the vacuum cleaner of their dreams.
